Installing a New Drop-In Bathroom Sink: A Step-by-Step Guide

Materials Required:

Drop-in sink
Sink drain and overflow drain
Plumber's putty
Silicone sealant
Adjustable wrench
Putty knife
Measuring tape

Step 1: Remove the Existing Sink

Turn off the water supply beneath the sink.
Disconnect the drain lines and supply lines.
Lift the sink from the countertop and remove it.

Step 2: Prepare the Countertop

Clean the countertop surface where the sink will be installed.
Place the sink in the cutout on the countertop and adjust it to the desired position.
Mark the outline of the sink's rim on the countertop.

Step 3: Apply Plumber's Putty

Roll out a thin rope of plumber's putty.
Place the putty around the underside of the sink, following the outline marked on the countertop.
