How to Connect a Double Bathroom Sink

A double bathroom sink is a great way to add functionality and style to your bathroom. It's also a relatively easy DIY project that can be completed in a few hours. Here are the steps on how to connect a double bathroom sink:

Step 1: Gather your materials

Before you start, you'll need to gather the following materials:

  • Two bathroom sinks
  • Two drain assemblies
  • Two water supply lines
  • Two sink faucets
  • Sink sealant
  • Teflon tape
  • Pliers
  • Wrench

Step 2: Turn off the water supply

The first step is to turn off the water supply to the bathroom. This is typically done by turning off the main water valve, which is usually located near the water heater.

Step 3: Remove the old sinks

Once the water supply is turned off, you can remove the old sinks. To do this, simply disconnect the water supply lines and drain lines from the sinks. Then, carefully lift the sinks out of the countertop.

Step 4: Install the new sinks

Once the old sinks are removed, you can install the new sinks. To do this, first apply a bead of sink sealant around the rim of the sink. Then, carefully place the sink in the countertop and press down firmly to set it in place.

Step 5: Connect the water supply lines

Once the sinks are installed, you can connect the water supply lines. To do this, first wrap the threads of the water supply lines with Teflon tape. Then, screw the water supply lines into the water supply valves on the wall.

Step 6: Connect the drain lines

Once the water supply lines are connected, you can connect the drain lines. To do this, first insert the drain assembly into the drain hole in the sink. Then, tighten the drain assembly with a wrench.

Step 7: Install the faucets

Once the drain lines are connected, you can install the faucets. To do this, first insert the faucet into the hole in the sink. Then, tighten the faucet with a wrench.

Step 8: Turn on the water supply

Once the faucets are installed, you can turn on the water supply. To do this, simply turn on the main water valve. Then, check for leaks around the sinks and faucets.

Step 9: Enjoy your new double bathroom sink!

Your new double bathroom sink is now installed and ready to use. Enjoy the added functionality and style it brings to your bathroom.
