How to Install Legs on a Bathroom Vanity

A bathroom vanity can be a beautiful and functional addition to any bathroom. But it’s essential to make sure that the vanity is properly installed, with sturdy legs to support it. Installing vanity legs is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few hours.

Materials you will need:

  • Vanity legs
  • Screwdriver
  • Drill
  • Level

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Choose the right legs The first step is to choose the right vanity legs. There are various styles of legs available, so you can choose the ones that complement the style of your bathroom. You’ll also need to consider the height of the legs. The standard height for vanity legs is 30 inches, but you can choose shorter or taller legs if you prefer. 2. Mark the location of the legs Once you have chosen the legs, you need to mark the location of the legs on the vanity. To do this, measure the distance from the edge of the vanity to the center of each leg hole. Then, mark the location of each leg hole with a pencil. 3. Drill pilot holes Once you have marked the location of the legs, you need to drill pilot holes for the screws. To do this, use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of your screws. Drill a pilot hole at each of the marked locations. 4. Attach the legs Now you can attach the legs to the vanity. To do this, insert a screw into each pilot hole and tighten it with a screwdriver. Be sure to tighten the screws securely, but do not overtighten them. 5. Level the vanity Once the legs are attached, you need to level the vanity. To do this, place a level on top of the vanity and adjust the legs until the vanity is level in all directions. 6. Secure the legs Once the vanity is level, you need to secure the legs. To do this, apply a bead of silicone caulk around the base of each leg. This will help to keep the legs in place and prevent water from getting underneath them. 7. Allow the caulk to dry Allow the caulk to dry completely before using the vanity. This will help to ensure that the legs are securely attached. By following these steps, you can easily install vanity legs and give your bathroom a new look.
