Safety First
Before you begin, turn off the power to the bathroom at the circuit breaker or fuse box. This will prevent you from being electrocuted while you are working on the switch.

Disconnect the Wires
Once the switch is out of the electrical box, you need to disconnect the wires. There will be two or three wires connected to the switch. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the wires in place and then pull the wires off of the switch.
Connect the New Switch
Now you can connect the new switch. First, strip about 1/2 inch of insulation off the end of each wire. Then, wrap the bare wire around the corresponding screw on the new switch. Tighten the screws to secure the wires.
Install the New Switch
Once the wires are connected, you can install the new switch. Push the switch into the electrical box and screw it into place. Then, replace the faceplate.
