Convert Two Handle Bathroom Sink Faucet To Single

Replacing a two-handle bathroom faucet with a single-handle model is a relatively simple plumbing project that can be completed in a few hours. By following these steps, you can easily upgrade your bathroom's look and functionality.

Materials:

Single-handle bathroom faucet
Wrench
Plumber's putty
Teflon tape
Basin wrench

Before you begin, turn off the water supply to the sink. Open the faucet to release any remaining water. Place a bucket under the sink to catch any dripping water.

Use a wrench to disconnect the water supply lines from the old faucet. Be careful not to overtighten the nuts.

Use a basin wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the old faucet in place. Remove the old faucet and clean the surface of the sink.

Apply a bead of plumber's putty around the base of the new faucet. Insert the new faucet into the sink and tighten the nuts.

Connect the water supply lines to the new faucet. Wrap the threads of the water supply lines with Teflon tape before tightening the nuts.
