How to Change a Bathroom Faucet Cartridge

Tools and Materials

Before you begin, you will need to gather the following tools and materials:

New faucet cartridge
Adjustable wrench
Phillips screwdriver
Flashlight
Rags

Step 1: Turn Off the Water Supply

Once you have gathered your tools and materials, you need to turn off the water supply to the faucet. This is typically done by turning off the valves located under the sink. If there are no valves, you will need to turn off the main water supply to your home.

Step 2: Remove the Handle

Once the water supply is turned off, you can remove the handle. This is typically done by removing the set screw located at the base of the handle. Once the set screw is removed, you should be able to pull the handle straight up to remove it.

Step 3: Remove the Cartridge
