How to Change a Bathroom Wall Light

Changing a bathroom wall light is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few minutes with the right tools and materials. By following these simple steps, you can easily update the look of your bathroom and improve its lighting.

Tools and Materials:

New bathroom wall light
Screwdriver
Wire cutters
Electrical tape
Safety glasses

Steps:

Turn off the power to the bathroom at the circuit breaker. This is essential for safety before beginning any electrical work.
Remove the old wall light. Most wall lights are held in place by screws. Simply unscrew these screws and carefully remove the light from the wall.
Disconnect the wires. Once the light is removed, you will see two wires connected to the back of the light. Carefully disconnect these wires by unscrewing the wire nuts.
Connect the wires to the new light. Take the two wires from the new light and connect them to the wires from the wall using wire nuts. Make sure to twist the wires together securely before tightening the wire nuts.
