How to Change a Broan Bathroom Fan Light Bulb
Broan bathroom fan light bulbs are not as difficult to change as they might seem. With a few simple steps, you can get your bathroom fan light back up and running in no time.
To change a bathroom fan light bulb, you will need the following:
- A new light bulb
- A screwdriver
- Optional: a step stool or ladder
To complete the bulb replacement, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power
To ensure your safety, start by turning off the power to the bathroom fan light. Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the bathroom circuit. If you are not sure which circuit breaker or fuse controls the bathroom fan light, you can turn off the main power to your home.
2. Remove the light fixture cover
The light fixture cover is usually held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and carefully lift off the cover. Be careful not to drop the cover or the light bulb.
3. Remove the old light bulb
The old light bulb is usually held in place by a twist-on or bayonet-style socket. To remove the bulb, simply turn it counterclockwise or pull it straight out of the socket.
4. Install the new light bulb
Take the new light bulb and insert it into the socket. Make sure that the bulb is securely in place.
5. Replace the light fixture cover
Place the light fixture cover back on the housing and secure it with the screws.
6. Turn on the power
Go back to the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn the power back on to the bathroom circuit. The bathroom fan light should now be working again.
