How to Fix Delta Bathroom Sink Faucets

Delta bathroom sink faucets are generally well-made and reliable, but even the best-made products can eventually need repair. If your Delta faucet is leaking, dripping, or otherwise not working properly, don't panic! In most cases, you can fix the problem yourself with a few simple tools and a little bit of time.

Before you begin, it's important to gather the right tools and materials. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, an adjustable wrench, and a pair of pliers. You may also need a replacement cartridge, which you can purchase at your local hardware store.

Once you have your tools and materials, you can begin the repair process.

Step 1: Turn off the water supply.

The first step is to turn off the water supply to your faucet. This is typically done by turning off the two shut-off valves that are located beneath the sink. Once the water is turned off, you can proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Remove the handle.

The next step is to remove the handle from the faucet. To do this, simply unscrew the screw that is located at the base of the handle. Once the screw is removed, you will be able to pull the handle straight up and off of the faucet.

Step 3: Remove the cartridge.

Once the handle is removed, you will be able to access the cartridge. The cartridge is a small, cylindrical-shaped component that is responsible for controlling the flow of water. To remove the cartridge, simply unscrew the retaining nut that is located at the base of the cartridge. Once the retaining nut is removed, you will be able to pull the cartridge straight up and out of the faucet.

Step 4: Inspect the cartridge.

Once the cartridge is removed, you should inspect it for any signs of damage. If the cartridge is damaged, it will need to be replaced. To replace the cartridge, simply insert the new cartridge into the faucet and tighten the retaining nut.

Step 5: Reinstall the handle.

Once the cartridge is replaced, you can reinstall the handle. To do this, simply insert the handle into the faucet and tighten the screw at the base of the handle.

Step 6: Turn on the water supply.

Once the handle is reinstalled, you can turn on the water supply. Once the water is turned on, check for any leaks. If there are no leaks, your faucet is now repaired!

Fixing a Delta bathroom sink faucet is a relatively easy task that can be completed in just a few minutes. By following these simple steps, you can get your faucet working properly again in no time.
