How to Repair a Leaking Delta Bathroom Faucet
A leaking faucet can be a frustrating and costly problem. If you have a Delta bathroom faucet that is leaking, there are a few simple steps you can take to repair it. With the right tools and a little bit of time, you can have your faucet working like new again in no time.
Step 1: Gather your tools
Before you begin, you will need to gather the following tools:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Adjustable wrench
- Allen wrench
- O-rings (if needed)

Step 2: Turn off the water supply

Step 5: Inspect the cartridge
Once the cartridge is removed, inspect it for any damage. If the cartridge is damaged, it will need to be replaced. If the cartridge is not damaged, it may simply need to be cleaned.
Step 6: Clean the cartridge
If the cartridge is not damaged, it can be cleaned by soaking it in a solution of vinegar and water. Soak the cartridge for about 30 minutes, then rinse it off with clean water.
Step 7: Reinstall the cartridge
Once the cartridge is clean, reinstall it by pushing it straight down into the faucet body. Hand-tighten the nut that holds the cartridge in place.
Step 8: Reinstall the faucet handle
Reinstall the faucet handle by pushing it straight down onto the cartridge. Tighten the screws that hold the handle in place.
Step 9: Turn on the water supply
Turn on the water supply to the faucet. Check for leaks. If there are no leaks, your faucet is now repaired.

- If you are not comfortable repairing the faucet yourself, you can call a plumber for help.
- If the leak is coming from the base of the faucet, it may be necessary to replace the O-rings.
