How To Take Out Bathroom Cabinet Drawers

Taking out bathroom cabinet drawers may seem like a daunting task, but it is actually quite simple with the right instructions. By following these steps, you can easily remove your drawers for cleaning, repair, or replacement.

Tools You'll Need:

Screwdriver
Phillips head screwdriver (for some drawers)
Putty knife or flathead screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Open the Drawer: Open the drawer you want to remove to its full extent.

2. Check for Screws: Look for screws on the sides of the drawer, typically near the top. If there are screws, remove them using the appropriate screwdriver.

3. Locate the Slide Mechanisms: Underneath the drawer, identify the metal slide mechanisms attached to the drawer and the cabinet frame. These slides allow the drawer to slide in and out smoothly.

4. Disengage the Slide Mechanisms: There are two common types of slide mechanisms: side-mounted and bottom-mounted.

For Side-Mounted Slides: Locate the lever or release mechanism on the side of the slide. Press or pull the lever to release the drawer from the slide.

For Bottom-Mounted Slides: Locate the tabs or clips on the bottom of the slide. Press or squeeze the tabs/clips to release the drawer from the slide.

5. Pull Out the Drawer: Once the slide mechanisms are disengaged, carefully pull the drawer straight out of the cabinet frame.

If the drawer is stuck, try wiggling it gently or using a putty knife or flathead screwdriver to pry it loose.
Be careful not to damage the slide mechanisms or the drawer while removing it.
