Tightening a Compression Tap

To tighten a compression tap, you will need the following tools:

Adjustable wrench
Phillips screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver
Replacement washer (if necessary)

Follow these steps:

Turn off the water supply to the tap.
Open the tap to release any remaining water.
Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the packing nut. This is the nut that is located just below the handle.
Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the handle.
