Repairing a Delta Leland Bathroom Faucet

When your Delta Leland bathroom faucet starts acting up, don't despair. With a little know-how and the right tools, you can easily repair it yourself and save a bundle on plumbing costs.

Here are the essential steps for repairing a Delta Leland bathroom faucet:

1. Gather the necessary tools and parts.

You will need the following tools and parts:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Replacement cartridge
  • New O-rings (if needed)

2. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.

Locate the shut-off valves under the sink and turn them clockwise to turn off the water supply. If there is no shut-off valve, you will need to turn off the main water supply to your home.

3. Remove the handle.

Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the handle in place. Pull the handle straight up to remove it.

4. Remove the cartridge.

Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the nut that holds the cartridge in place. Pull the cartridge straight up to remove it.

5. Inspect the cartridge and O-rings.

Check the cartridge for any damage or wear. Also, check the O-rings for any cracks or tears. If the cartridge or O-rings are damaged, they will need to be replaced.

6. Install the new cartridge.

Insert the new cartridge into the faucet body. Tighten the nut that holds the cartridge in place using the adjustable wrench.

7. Install the new O-rings (if needed).

If the O-rings are damaged, they will need to be replaced. Apply a small amount of plumber's grease to the new O-rings and insert them into the faucet body.

8. Reinstall the handle.

Push the handle onto the faucet body and tighten the screw that holds it in place using the Phillips screwdriver.

9. Turn on the water supply to the faucet.

Turn on the shut-off valves under the sink or the main water supply to your home. Check for any leaks around the faucet.

10. Test the faucet.

Turn on the faucet and check for proper operation. The water should flow smoothly and evenly, and there should be no leaks.

If you follow these steps, you should be able to repair your Delta Leland bathroom faucet quickly and easily.
